Ron Nissen – Boardroom Engagement

Kalori Consulting Partners Chairman Ron Nissen has more than 30 year of experience in the IT & telecommunications market. Key appointments included Vice President for Unisys in Europe responsible for their Government, Airlines, Telecommunications and Commercial business throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa; Regional Vice President for Motorola in Australia and NZ and a Member of the Asian Management Board; Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer of AAPT prior to the full acquisition of AAPT by Telecom NZ; Executive Chairman National Telecoms Group.

Christopher Witt – Strategy Development

Mr Witt co-founded The Kalori Group in 1998, and is its Managing Director. Prior to that, Chris had 15 years experience with AT&T, Telstra and Motorola where responsibilities included for acquisitions, channel & direct sales management, and strategic relationships. He currently works with companies in ICT, communications & healthcare technology sectors. In the past 15 years,  Chris has worked with Boards & Executives to sharpen their strategic focus, identify & execute transactions, and make game changing investments.

Gary McLaren – Technology Strategy

Gary specialises in advising companies on how corporate strategy must respond to new digital and networking technologies.
With executive experience in engineering, commercial and marketing roles at large and small companies, Gary is able to provide insight for companies looking to grow revenues and enter new markets.
He has a deep knowledge of the telecommunications sector and has been at the forefront of the introduction of new technologies with telcos, startups and equipment vendors.

Ben Loiterton – Capital Markets

Mr Loiterton’s career spans more than 20 years in investment banking, investment management and entrepreneurial activity. He specialises in advising ASX listed and private companies in connection with equity capital raising, IPOs, M&A, private equity, venture capital and general strategic advice.  He has direct experience in sectors including media, technology and digital industries, junior resources (gold, oil & gas), clean tech, financial services, industrial services, and commercial real estate.  Ben holds Bachelor Degrees in Law and Commerce (Finance) from the University of New South Wales.

John Wright – Finance Director

Mr Wright has more than 20 years direct experience in Corporate Finance roles with a range of senior appointments with Bankcard Australia, TNT, Roberts Weaver Group (now Colliers International) and Australian Jet Charter (Now ExecuJet). He started his career in the Australian Tax Office, and more recently has performed numerous due diligence and forensic investigations. John’s specialty has been the process of rapid rectification of disorganised and inefficient administrative and accounting procedures, adjustment of staffing levels and cost cutting.

Robin Eckermann – Network Architecture & Design

Robin is recognised as one of Australia’s pioneers of advanced broadband and has almost 20 years’ experience in the field of advanced broadband (following 25 years in the IT sector). Robin led the creation of TransACT – Australia’s first advanced broadband network – and served on the most recent Regional Telecommunications Independent Review Committee, reporting to Parliament in 2012.

Robin led technical oversight of the TAScolt project, Australia’s first brownfields FTTP deployment. He has been involved in numerous consulting assignments in Australia and overseas relating to broadband network infrastructure, business models for investment, and next generation service delivery.

Tony Paul – Wireless Infrastructure

Tony has extensive infrastructure deployment and property development experience in the fields of telecommunications in both public and private industry. He has a strong knowledge of the wireless telecommunications sector, in varying roles in network deployment and risk consulting to the major industry players in the Asia-Pacific region.

Simone Angelos
Simone Angelos – Marketing Manager

Simone has 25 years in the advertising & marketing space. Formerly with LOUD, Leo Burnett and Young & Rubicam, she’s now has her own company – Morph Communications – who offer strategic, creative and production resources to a varied client base. Simone is a specialist in strategic marketing mixes, including creating TV, Radio, Outdoor & Print advertising and materials, as well as new media. She manages marketing & communications for The Kalori Group and its investee & client portfolios.
